Our top focus at Paws and Claws Grooming is the health and safety of both your pet and ourselves, thus for a seamless experience, we would love for you to collaborate with us to make this happen..

​- All pet/s will be checked prior to being groomed. In the instance that de-mating is no longer feasible due to pet/s wellbeing I the groomer will call you the owner to discuss the need for clipping. Please be aware if your pet/s are severely matted and need to be clipped they will be clipped short. Whilst as much care will be taken to ensure the pet/s are comfortable there is always a risk of nicks and skin irritation. I the groomer will not be held responsible if the above occurs. I the groomer will provide you with written information where required.

- If your pet is anxious or elderly as much care will be taken to make them as comfortable as possible this includes but not limited to a comfortable clip, this means that the clip may not in-fact be perfect. 

Working within your pet's limits will be our priority e.g. If the blow dryer has become too much proceed with towel drying to the best of my ability to prevent any further issues from arising. Using aids to help support your pet/s when standing for a period of time etc. 

- When requesting double coated breeds to be clipped such as Maremma’s, Border collies etc please make sure to do all your research before making said request/decision.

- All cats will need their nails clipped prior to their groom, this is to prevent infection to myself the groomer.  -    If you are unhappy with the groom please let me know so I can rectify any problems that may occur.

 

- If you the owner has given permission that I the groomer are allowed to muzzle your pet I will only do so when necessary for the safety of myself and your pet. If you the owner have stated that you do not want your pet muzzled, then I the groomer will do the best I can to make your pet comfortable this may affect the outcome of the overall groom. I the groomer will contact you if the situation arises.

- Your pet/s while in my care will be treated to the highest of standards, you the owner will be notified in any instance that something occurs. 

- If you are using the Mobile Grooming service, please be aware that I will need to have full access to a power and an outdoor tap.  

- If you the owner cancel less then 24 hours prior to the appointment, you the owner will be charged for the groom. Unless discussed with myself upon booking.

- All information given to myself is private and confidential and will remain so for the duration of your service and after your service has ended. 

- I as the groomer will take responsibility for my actions where responsibility is my fault, I will cover all fees that need to be covered in this instance. 

- You the owner are responsible for providing all sufficient information regarding your pet/s well-being this includes and not limited to their health and contact details. 

- In the instance your pet/s appear to be unwell during or prior to the groom I the groomer have the right to postpone the groom until your pet/s have been seen by a vet and cleared for grooming.
